Bank Fails & Apartment Wins: Real Life Panama Expat Update 🇵🇦 | DJI Action 5 Pro VLOG
Welcome to week three of my adventure living in Panama after making the big move from Finland! 🇫🇮✈️🇵🇦
This week was a whirlwind of settling in: from dealing with immigration paperwork to finding the perfect new apartment. I kicked things off by visiting immigration lawyers to handle my residency process—no more running around confused, just letting the pros do their thing. By the end of the week, I had my new residency card in hand (even if Panama’s system is a bit more old-school than back home in Finland!)
Apartment hunting was a huge focus this week, too. I checked out several places, navigated busy city streets, and weighed my options before finally signing a lease on an incredible place with a pool, gym, and way more space than I need (plus a guest room for visitors!). It’s a little scary committing for a year, but with a manageable budget and some flexibility, I’m excited for this next chapter.
Of course, it wouldn’t be international relocation without some money drama! From Western Union account issues to an ATM eating hundreds of dollars, I navigated a few unexpected banking mishaps. But with some help and persistence, things finally worked out and I’m almost ready to move in.
If you’re curious about expat life in Panama, the challenges of moving across the world, or what it’s like to settle into a brand new country, this week’s vlog is for you!
